Week Review and Weekend Preview 1:Recap of Florida State, Clemson and Arkansas and LSU both have big recruiting weekends (12/15/17)

This is the first edition of the “Week Review and Weekend Preview”.I hope that I continue to do these in the future.First let’s take a look at what happened this week in the Throwball world.

College Throwball:TN’s 2017-18 Midseason Awards

This weeks’ top 25 didn’t have much change at all except for Georgia’s rise into the top five and Naples’ and Huff College’s jump back into the top ten.Florida State moved into the number twenty-five spot after Atlanta and SEMO tied for number twenty-one.

Throwball News (I), ranked the fourteen seniors in the state of Texas in the 2018 class headlined by Carter Cook (1SF,2OV) and Reed Michael (3SF,6OV).

Antonio Pointer Jr.,(10SF,29OV) 2018,signed with Auburn over finalists Atlanta,Georgia,Georgia Baptist, and Florida.Pointer Jr. is the grandson of the best Auburn throwball player that had ever lived,Allen Pointer.

25.Florida State got the best of Clemson,96-89.DeMarcus Paige led the way for the Seminoles as he scored 33 goals and added 11 rebounds on Thursday.Mareese Wilkins led Clemson in scoring with 26 goals.

Weekend Preview
This is the last weekend before 2018 recruits make their final decision.

As 1.Arkansas hosts 5.Georgia,there is one impact visitor for Arkansas who will be visiting this weekend.This weekend 5-Star Georgia commit,Freddy Jones (5SF,16OV) Atlanta,Georgia, will be visiting Fayetteville.If Arkansas wants to get this kid the there going to have to impress Jones well or else Jones will most likely sign early Wednesday with Georgia.Arkansas also hosts 5-Star Freshman Point guard Quinn Johnson (1PG,2OV), who has said his favorites are AGCU,Oregon,Arkansas, and Georgia.Prediction:Arkansas wins game but Georgia will sign Freddy Jones next Wednesday, the first of the three day signing period.

As LSU hosts Florida, they have some high impact 2018 recruits coming to Baton Rouge this weekend.Those recruits include 5-Star Texas commit Reed Michael (3SF,6OV) Dallas,Texas,4-Star Arkansas commit Andre Moss (13SF,40OV) Odessa,Texas,3-Star Florida State Commit,Mor Johnson (21PG,86OV) Orlando,Florida.Prediction:Mor Johnson signs with LSU but the two others go elsewhere.

Oregon has a favorite in their head coaching search it seems.Former Texas Head Coach Matt Hadley has become a prime candidate for the job.Oregon hosts Arkansas commit,Andy Allen (25PG,108OV) Fayetteville,Arkansas will make his official visit.Allen’s former High School coach was Matt Hadley, just for one year but that had a great relationship.Allen’s finalists heading into his decision on Friday are Arkansas,Baylor,Texas,Northern Cal,and Oregon.Prediction:Andy Allen signs with Oregon if Hadley is hired as Head Coach.
