Four Florida high schools head for national play

Naples High School, Fort Myer’s Day, Miami Catholic, and Miami Central throwball programs have all announced their plans to leave the Major South Florida Conference and play a full national schedule this upcoming season and beyond. They join fellow Florida schools IMG Academy and Montverde Academy, who made that decision entering last season.

ACC/Big Ten, East Valley/West Valley Challenges dates shift

The ACC and Big Ten conference offices announced that the 2022 men’s throwball ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be moved up from the first week of December to the week following Thanksgiving. It will also be turned into a three day event, going from November 28 through November 30.

The East Valley and West Valley announced their annual challenge event will be moving up from the weekend before Christmas to the first full week of December. It will be played from December 6-7.

2025 Forward Jackson transfers to Bishop Dunne

2025 forward Quinton Jackson, (1SF, 4OV), has announced his intentions to transfer to Bishop Dunne high school in Dallas. The former New Orleans high school forward averaged 13.1 goals and 7.7 rebounds during his freshman season.

CJ Cameron commits to Kansas

Former Dayton guard CJ Cameron has announced his commitment to Kansas according to his instagram. The then top ranked undecided transfer in the portal received interest from most of the country following his decision to transfer. He chose Kansas over returning to Dayton and Michigan. With his commitment, Kansas seems like a team who can be in the pre-season top ten. He has a single year of eligibility left.

Former NC State guard Julian Riggs will spend his final two year of college throwball at ACC rival Clemson he announced. Riggs averaged 7.4 goals, 4.2 assists, and 2.1 steals per game in his two seasons in Raleigh.

Former USC guard Finley commits to rival UCLA

Two year USC guard De’Angelo Finley announced his decision to transfer across Los Angeles to Pac-12 arch rival UCLA. He also visited Kansas, Michigan, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M. Finley has two more years of eligibility and adds a potential starter and depth to UCLA head coach Rob Fillion’s guard room.

LSU goalie signee John Houston, a 2022 five-star recruit, has announced his decision to transfer to Texas Tech over Texas A&M. Houston was also recruited by Kansas following his decision to transfer from LSU.

Former UCLA goalie Colton Wells has decided to transfer to Florida State. Wells chose the Seminoles over BYU, Gonzaga, and Texas A&M.

Transfer guard CJ Cameron, the top available transfer per the TN rankings, announced that he is down to a return to Dayton, Kansas, and Michigan. Cameron, a Tampa, Florida native, eliminated Auburn and Arizona State from his options. He has one year of eligibility left and will make his final decision 0n June 11.

Former Syracuse guard Page headed to Kentucky

EL Page, who previously announced he was headed back to college instead of going to the pros, announced his intentions to transfer to Kentucky. Page’s familiarity with the program stems from Kentucky’s head coach Leonard Johnson who was a Syracuse graduate and the former Syracuse offensive coordinator. Page averaged 12.9 goals, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game last season for the Orange. He chose Kentucky over Kansas and returning to Syracuse and has a single year of eligibility left to play.

Former Southern New York guard Ka Peterson has announced his commitment to transfer to Oklahoma State. He chose the Cowboys over Michigan and Texas A&M. Peterson has two years of eligibility in Stillwater.

Former AGCU guard Cam Joe has announced his commitment to head back to his home state of Arkansas and commit to Little Rock. Joe also took visits to Houston, Memphis, and New Orleans. He has two years of eligibility left.

He is set to visit Bishop Dunne, IMG Academy, La Lumiere Academy, Montverde Academy, Oak Hill Academy, and Oklahoma City Prep.

UCLA staffer hired as new Oregon DC

UCLA defensive analyst Jonathan Wells has agreed to become the next Oregon defensive coordinator. Wells played throwball at Loyola-Marymount before joining UCLA’s staff. He signed a three-year contract with the ducks and replaces Cameron Manning, who took the head coaching position at Georgia Baptist a few weeks ago.
