Recruit and Return:Did Not Make NCAAs:Arkansas State is a good team but they faltered late in the season

Possible 2018-19 Starting 6 (Class they are going to be in next year)
G:Mor Johnson (Freshman)
G:Will Richardson (Junior)
F:Kathlon Reed (Freshman)
F:Alonzo Wells (JUCO Junior)
C:Mike Jones (Senior)
Key Bench Piece:G:Devin Christian (Freshman)

Who is Lost:They lose Zion Houston and Teddy Snyder up front and are replaced by JUCO Junior Alonzo Wells and Mike Jones a Senior. Both of these guys are veteran players so the Red Wolves will have to get more talent at those positions as soon as next year.

Who is Added:Arkansas State had five-star Center Ned Thomas (3C,26OV) committed but then he flipped to Arkansas, and also lost Xion Thompson (34SF,114OV) during the signing period. They added Kathlon Reed (21SF,72OV) out of Benton,Arkansas, Mor Johnson (21PG,86OV) a Point Guard from Orlando,Florida, and Devin Christian (27PG,113OV) another Point Guard from Florida.

What it Means for Next Season:Now that Arkansas State is more talented, they should be able to make a run in March Madness when it returns to its old format next season.

NIT Status:Getting a two seed in the NIT is no joke. Will Richardson needs to lead his team to an NIT Championship, leading to (hopefully) an NCAA Tournament apperance next year.

Status:Up.Young players will be the stars of the team, and if they can do that,I don’t see any reason why this team will be in the top twenty-five next season.
