()=Former School (Additions) or New School (Losses)
Winners
UCLA
Additions:Guard Anthony Thompson (USC), Guard Gerry Trent (Northwestern), Center AJ Williams (Duke), Ben Jackson (North Carolina)
Losses:None
Adding TN’s top two transfers Gerry Trent and AJ Williams were huge wins in the first year of the transfer portal under Rob Fillion. Getting Anthony Thompson early in the off-season was a huge win from crosstown rival USC. UCLA is getting goalie dept by adding early enrollee Ben Jackson.
TCU
Additions:Guard Devin Mills (UT-Arlington), Forward Chrishaun Thomas (Alabama)
Losses:None
Devin Mills and Chrishaun Thomas aren’t the only additions as JUCO transfers Kris Payne and Quest Wilson are added to the team.
North Carolina
Additions:Guard Alonzo James (Naples), Center Christian Sisa (California)
Losses:Guard AJ Andrews (Maryland), Guard Porter Williams (Maryland), Goalie Ben Jackson (UCLA)
Replacing guards AJ Andrews annd Porter Williams with former Naples Guard Alonzo James and rising Freshman KK Pinson was a huge win on the recruiting trail for the Tar Heels. Christian Sisa was a huge win for Carolina as they look to replace the production of lottery pick Armistead Williams. While Goalie Ben Jackson leaves, Freshman and younger brother of Ian Donahue, Devin Donahue, will look to replace the production of Willie Hughes in his freshman season.
Maryland
Additions:Guard AJ Andrews (North Carolina), Guard Porter Williams (North Carolina)
Losses:Guard Michael Huerter (Syracuse)
Adding Guards AJ Andrews and Porter Williams to star Forward AJ Charles should make a nice trio to be a legit competitor in the Big Ten East. Losing no players but Michael Huerter (who did not play a game for the Terps’s last season) to the portal after landing the two guards goes to show this team will have great depth.
Connecticut
Additions:Guard Erlon Johnson (South Carolina)
Losses:None
Adding grad transfer Erlon Johnson made the best team in the American even better. Teaming Johnson up with reclassified Guard Mikel White made things even better for the team playing their final year in the AAC.
Iowa
Additions:Forward Anthony Harrison (Ontario)
Losses:None
Adding arguably Canadian transfer of all-time made Iowa the favorites in the Big Ten West after Gerry Trent left Northwestern for UCLA. Teaming Harrison up with Guard Jay Johnson will be a treat to watch with Harrison’s two more years of eligibility.
Syracuse
Additions:Michael Huerter (Maryland), Bobby Qualls (Arkansas)
Losses:None
Adding Huerter and Qualls to the collection of talent ‘Cuse has will make for an incredible team in a realigned ACC.
Losers
Arkansas
Additions:None
Losses:Guard Will Schuhmacher (USC), Guard Charlie Radtke (AGCU), Guard Bobby Qualls (Syracuse)
Arkansas lost former five-star guards Will Schuhmacher, Charlie Radtke, and Bobby Qualls due to lack of success with their playing time. While they do get more flexibility with their guard rotation now that three are gone, losing out on 2020 Guard Jabari Williams to UCLA is a big loss for the Arkansas program.
Northwestern
Additions:None
Losses:Guard Gerry Trent (Northwestern)
Losing top transfer Gerry Trent after his graduation and replacing it with nothing means about nothing but still being a competitor in the Big Ten West without a top five player in college throwball.
Ouachita Baptist
Additions:None
Losses:Guard Alex Freeman (Little Rock)
Like Northwestern, Ouachita Baptist is losing their top talent and replacing it with nothing. Similar to Northwestern, OBU will still be a competitor in the AtlanticWest but not have a top thirty player in college throwball.
Alabama
Additions:None
Losses:Forward Chrishaun Thomas (TCU)
Losing a talent like Chrishaun Thomas will hurt ‘Bama’s front field rotation and will need the Tide to go out on the recruiting trail looking to improve.
UT-Arlington
Additions:None
Losses:Guard Devin Mills (TCU)
Losing Devin Mills to TCU loses TCU’s identity. As UT-Arlington looks to compete in the AValley, the loss of Mills hurts their chances.
