Texas leadership, TCU’s Justice nearing deal, to be named next Texas Head Coach

Many expected this Texas coaching search to run well into the summer. Well, they were wrong. Texas TD Matt Riedel and TCU Head Coach Brett Justice are nearing an agreement where Justice would become the highest paid Big 12 head coach ever on a five year contract. Since the news was reported Guards Devin Mills (current Sophomore, rising Junior), Kris Payne (current Junior, rising Senior), and Forwards/Centers Chrishaun Thomas (current Junior, rising Senior), and DJ Wise (current Junior, rising Senior), have all withdrawn from school. All of them are set to workout with trainers to prepare for the 2021 NTBL Draft. 2020 Five-Star Point Guard Fred Cook (ranked 3PG,10OV in the 2020 TN 100) and 2020 Four-Star Point Guard Damon Lee (ranked 29PG,98OV in 2020 TN 100). Both have both been released from their national letters of intent to play at TCU. Cook is considering Mississippi State and Texas. Damon Lee will likely go with the other school in his recruitment, Oklahoma State. TCU TD Greg Arnold and the rest of TCU leadership will begin a coaching search.
