Former UConn PG White announces transfer to Oregon, pulls out of draft

Former Connecticut Point Guard Mikel White has announced his intentions to transfer to Oregon and has officially pulled out of the 2021 NTBL Draft . He also talked with coaching staffs at Tennessee and Texas. White has three years of eligibility left due to the free year of eligibility due to COVID-19.

Syracuse Offensive Coordinator Leonard Johnson has been named the next head coach at Kentucky. Johnson will be replaced by Greg Lee, who has excelled as Syracuse’s guard coach.

Michigan Guards Devin Powell and Clyde Bozeman have both entered the 2021 NTBL Draft. Both have signed with agents, keeping them from returning to Ann Arbor. Devin’s brother Donavan has entered the transfer portal with up to four years of eligibility left.

Auburn’s Antonio Pointer Jr., Maryland’s AJ Charles, Michigan State’s Victor Clemens and Kennedy Alexander, North Carolina’s Reed Pinson, Ohio State’s Za Williams and Zee Williams, Stanford’s Josh Goodwin, Syracuse’s RJ Baizley and Weston Matthews, and USC’s Dee-Dee Richardson have all also entered the 2021 NTBL Draft and signed with agents, so they will not return to college in 2021-2022.
