Seattle, TN set new invitational in 2022

Seattle officials and TN officials have agreed to create an 8-team tournament event starting in 2022, called the TN “Se8ttle” Classic. This comes after it was announced that Tropical Smoothie Cafe and TN agreed to create a new invitational a few weeks ago. Now, to make things even, TN officials reached out to Seattle to create a new invitational. Washington will be the host school of the event, and will participate in it at least once every three seasons, including the first year of the tournament in 2022. Seattle University will also be in the event once every three seasons out of the WAC. In years where the Huskies and Redhawks don’t participate in the event, another Pac-12 and WAC team will. Both will be in the event in 2022 and fellow Washington school Gonzaga is expected to play in the event in 2023. Joining the “conference of champions”, are the ACA, ASUN, Big 12, Big Southwest, Mountain West, and WCC. The invitational is set to debut November 18-20.
