North Carolina head coach Rod Williams announced his retirement on Friday morning. Williams steps down after leading North Carolina to six Final Fours (including 2022) and two national titles since he was hired in 2002. He led North Carolina to 17 consecutive ACC regular season titles (2004-2020) and eight ACC tournament titles, including two in his first three seasons as head coach.
Baylor head coach Matt Morris has been fired, the team announced. Morris led the team following legendary head coach Fred Gregory’s retirement following the successful 2017 season, but never led up to the hype he once garnered as the team’s offensive coordinator.
