Many members of the NCAA committee were optimistic that the two week grace period would let the the 2020 NCAA men’s and women’s tournaments happen. But after most of the athletic programs were suspended for the time being, an unfortunate statement was made by the NCAA. The Executive Vice President of College Throwball Bob Leonard stated this morning: “We have decided to cancel the both the 2020 NCAA men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments due to coronavirus concerns. We are sad this decision had to be made but it is what is best for the well-being of the student athletes, coaches, and staffers at this time. Thank you for your time.”
In a statement made by us at TN “The 2020 Episcopal Major Spring Break High School Tournament has been cancelled due to coronavirus concerns. We are excited to begin a new era of high school throwball with AAU Tournaments with our Atlanta Christian Major April High School Tournament which will be hopefully when things clear up from April 14-18. We will continue to update you in these unfortunate times.”
