Due to movements in 2020 in the nation, many athletic teams have changed their name if team leaderships feel as if their name does not reflect the country’s morals. Thus, Santa Fe Indians leadership made this statement on their social medias: “After much consideration, we have decided to change our organization’s nickname, beginning in the 2021 off-season. This will be a long process so as we go through this time we will be going with a temporary name: the Santa Fe Throwball Team. Thank you for your time, and we cannot wait to continue the great years of Santa Fe professional throwball.”

The Oakland Stars will relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada in a move that was first reported by TN Nevada. The organization also said that it will move its G-League team, the Oakland Soldiers to Carson City and call itself the “Carson City Soldiers”. The team will move to the National Conference West, which will send the Seattle Bears (currently in the NC West) to the American Conference West.
